This is a rare opportunity for Registered Nurses (RN) to join to work for them in the areas of Oncology, Cardiovascular, Neuro ICU, Hemodialysis and General Internal Medicine in full time permanent positions.

Your new role

  • Assesses, plan, implement and evaluate individualized care to meet the patient's physical and emotional needs
  • Communicate and consult with relatives regarding the care and condition of respective patients as required
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of an appropriate plan of care for each patient and implement discharge planning process on admission of patients
  • Liaise with attending physicians, psychiatrists, consultants, or responsible persons, nursing, dietary, activity staff, etc. to ensure effective patient care is provided
  • Operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment
  • Assist in surgery and other medical procedures
  • Provides first aid to staff when necessary and completes Employee Injury Report
  • Procure and administer medications including all injections and narcotics
  • Participate in the orientation, on-the-job training and in-servicing of nursing staff as required
  • Other duties as required.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario required
  • Completion of a university, college, or other approved nursing program
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) program
  • 1 to 2 years recent Surgical experience is required for positions within Cardiovascular, Neuro and/or ICU
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing and evaluating patient care
