Senior Manager, Long-Term Care Best Practices Program

The Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario is seeking an accomplished RN for the role of Senior Manager, Long-Term Care Best Practices Program, funded by the Ministry of Health. In this role you will provide leadership and strategic direction to support the dissemination, implementation, evaluation and sustainability of RNAO's best practice guidelines (BPGs) in the long-term care sector, includingLong-Term Care Best Practice Spotlight Organizations® (LTC-BPSOs).

As Senior Manager you will be a member of the Association's senior management team and will seek, create and coordinate provincial opportunities to promote, implement and integrate the use of evidence-based best practices in the LTC sector, linking and integrating RNAO, BPG and BPSO initiatives. With your team of RN Long-Term Care Best Practice Coordinators, you will identify performance measurement, quality improvement, knowledge transfer and capacity building activities that link BPG implementation to improved resident care and outcomes.    

You are a masters-prepared RN, currently registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario with at least eight years progressive experience in the Long-Term Care sector, with prior experience as a Director of Care. You are knowledgeable of the principles of evidence-based practice and have experience with implementation of RNAO best practice guidelines. You also possess experience in adult education strategies and change management. Team building skills, leadership and motivational skills, project management experience and knowledge of long term care initiatives are a must in this role. This is a full-time position and requires the successful candidate to work both off site and at the RNAO home office in Toronto.  Incidental travel within Ontario will be required.
