Intent of the process

The current need is to fill four (4) positions on term and indeterminate basis. A pool of
partially or fully qualified candidates may be established to staff similar or identical
positions at Health Canada with various linguistic profiles (English Essential, Bilingual
imperative BBB/BBB, BBC/BBC). The requirements as well as tenures (deployment,
specified period, indeterminate, assignment/secondment) may vary according to the
position being staffed. Anyone interested in this type of work is encouraged to apply.

In order to be considered, your application mustclearly explain how you meet the following(essential qualifications)

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable
specialization in Nursing, Nursing Service Administration, Nursing Education or some
other specialty relevant to the position

Degree equivalency

Occupational Certification:
Current registration as a registered nurse in the province or territory of employment
and a member in good standing in that province. Willingness and eligibility to become
registered, at the time of appointment, in the province where the position is located.

Recent* and significant** experience in the provision of occupational health nursing
services including health assessments and immunization/screening tests.

* Recent is defined as experience acquired within the last twelve (12) months.
** Significant experience means experience obtained by the candidate representative
of the depth and breadth of experience that would normally have been gained
performing the duties for a period of approximately three (3) years.

• Knowledge of communicable diseases of occupational health significance.

these assessments.

education programs on various occupational health topics.
• Ability to respond to urgent demands and tight deadlines.
