Pinecrest-Queensway Community Health Centre

Registered Nurse - West End Integrated Falls Prevention Program

Posted Jan 09#2018-0004 -1555312

Company Information

Since its establishment in 1979, PQCHC has grown alongside the community it serves, widening its array of services to address broader social determinants of health such as access to primary health care services, employment, housing, education, building community capacity, health promotion, mental health and programs for children and youth. Today, while many programs remain focused on the original west end catchment area, a number of services reach out to populations across the City of Ottawa and some reaching residents across the Champlain area. In addition, in 2009 we opened a satellite site, the South Nepean Community Health Centre (SNCHC) located in south Nepean.

Today PQCHC and SNCHC encompass

  • More than 200 regular on-going positions
  • 120 active volunteers
  • 250 student placements annually
  • 40 different programs and services
  • 50 service locations
  • Annual budget of over $21 million
  • Over 80 partnerships

It is only through the continued dedication of volunteers, community residents, groups, partner agencies and funders that PQCHC has become the comprehensive health and social service organization it is today.  Incorporated as a not-for-profit organization, PQ is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The organization remains grounded in the original core values and principles upon which it was built. We look forward to continuing to provide high quality services to our community for years to come.
