An excellent communicator, you will champion the coordination and provision of patient and family-centered care, patient safety, and service excellence for the Emergency Services and Critical Care Departments at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital and South Muskoka Memorial Hospital sites of MAHC. Integral to the success of MAHC's multi-site organization, this role will work collaboratively with colleagues to create strong and consistent Emergency and Critical Care programs across the organization. You will provide leadership in optimal patient flow, implementation of best practices and promote inter-professional practice. While working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, you will plan, organize, and direct the day-to-day activities within these departments, taking an active role in ensuring smooth daily operations. While furthering the goals and objectives of MAHC, this role is responsible for maintaining a nursing care model that best meets the needs of the patients, and provides a supportive, safe work environment.
You have at least six years of current progressive professional experience as a Registered Nurse with a focus in and recognized credentials in the areas of emergency and/or critical care nursing. Able to adapt to and foster change, you have current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and are dedicated to professional and leadership development. A minimum of three to five years of current progressive management/ leadership experience, an asset. Experience in a unionized hospital environment coupled with an undergraduate degree in Nursing or other related field is required. A full job description is available upon request.
