Position Title: Clinical Practicum and Health Coordinator (CPHC)

The University of Ontario Institute of Technology is seeking a Clinical Practicum and Health Coordinator, which would act in a capacity of public health coordinator for the University as well as clinical practicum facilitator within the Faculty of Health Sciences.
Facilitate the public health and wellness as well as the disease prevention and surveillance of the UOIT campus community.
Participate on, report to and act as a resource for various university committees and other internal and external stakeholders related to campus and student health.
Work with all UOIT programs that require verification in meeting legislated health requirements and communicable disease protocols for placement settings.
Working alongside existing practicum office staff, collaborate in the organization and delivery of clinical placements related courses, including the procurement of new partnerships and the maintenance of existing clinical placements.
Contribute to the development and improvement upon frameworks for the professional development of faculty, staff and students involved in placement settings.
Nursing experience, including a minimum of 3 years' experience in Communicable Disease Control programs, is required. Comprehensive knowledge of communicable diseases, vaccine preventable diseases, communicable disease control processes, immunization, vaccines, community health nursing, population health, risk communication and community capacity building.
Experience providing services to clients from a range of educational and cultural backgrounds.
Able to work independently within a multidisciplinary team environment, prioritizing and organizing own work.
Able to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to students, faculty, health care and community organizations.
