Job Description

In our 108th year of serving the health care needs of the Ottawa area, the Community Nursing Registry of Ottawa (CNRO) is seeking an Executive Director. CNRO is a not-for-profit and registered charitable organization, owned and managed by its members. CNRO is dedicated to achieving excellence in health care delivery by promoting a patient-centred approach based on respecting human uniqueness, independence, dignity and integrity.

Dedicated to preserving our unique identity, the Executive Director has the vision and the drive to expand the nursing and personal care services we currently provide along with the relationships, partnerships and community networks that we have developed over the years.

 

As a leader in the health care industry, the Executive Director is a Registered Nurse, a member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario; a member of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario and affiliated professional groups and has a sound knowledge of nursing practice.

 

Reporting to the volunteer Board of Directors, the Executive Director will work in collaboration with the members and office staff; be accountable for programs, services, marketing and recruitment in a competitive health care environment and maintain quality of services. The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of the principles of management, governance, and related legislation in the not-for-profit sector. The successful candidate will have expertise in financial management, communication skills, leadership abilities and computer proficiency. Bilingualism is an asset (English and French).
