Registered Nurse

At the Child and Parent Resource Institute (CPRI) we provide highly specialized trauma-informed mental health and developmental services. These services include Assessment, Consultation, Treatment, Research and Education. We work with local community services, building on what they have already done and use evidence-based practices to adapt our approach to the unique needs of each child. CPRI is looking for a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care provided to children from birth to 18 years with complex developmental and complex medical needs.

What can I expect to do in this role?

• Deliver nursing care to complex clients with complex medical and developmental needs
• Assume nursing administrative duties
• Work within the Standards and Guidelines of the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Communicate directly with families, treatment team members and community health care providers

How do I qualify?


• Current registration and a Registered Nurse in good standing from the College of Nurses in Ontario.

Clinical Knowledge and Experience

• You have demonstrated knowledge of complex nursing care to assist in the development and implementation of nursing care plans and to serve as a primary nurse to clients with complex medical needs.
• You have applied knowledge of nursing theories, practices and relevant legislation to work in accordance with the College of Nurses Standards and Guidelines and of established policies and procedures.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

• You have strong communication and interpersonal skills to work within a multidisciplinary team environment and collaborate effectively with child, family, health care professionals and community agencies.

Problem-Solving and Organizational Skills

• You have problem-solving, analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills to identify complex medical concerns, manage information and prioritize workload within established timelines.

Salary Range: $1,268.82 - $1,581.87 per week

(Note: If a Vulnerable Sector Screening/Check is required, it must also be obtained in person at your local police service.)

    A record under the Criminal Code and/or other federal offence record(s) does not automatically mean you will be ineligible for the position. The screening check(s) will only be reviewed and evaluated by the TSO for the purpose of making a security clearance decision. The details of an individual's screening check(s) will be considered in specific relation to the duties and responsibilities of the position being filled. Screening check records will be maintained by the TSO and kept strictly confidential.
