You will champion the coordination and provision of patient and family-centered care, patient safety, and service excellence for the following patient care areas at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital site of MAHC: Intensive Care Unit, Medical Surgical Unit, Obstetrical Care Unit, and District Stroke Centre. While promoting inter-professional practice and working collaboratively with partners across MAHC and internal and external stakeholders, you will plan, organize, and direct the day-to-day activities within the departments, taking an active role in ensuring smooth daily operations. You will also create, implement, and maintain a nursing structure and care model.
You have at least six years of current progressive professional experience as a Registered Nurse with a focus in acute care, critical care, some experience in obstetrical nursing, and an extensive background providing stroke care in accordance with the Ontario Stroke Strategy. Able to adapt to and foster change, you have recognized credentials in the areas of medical/surgical, stroke care, critical care, and obstetrical nursing. Along with current registration with the CNO, you possess a minimum of three to five years of current progressive management/leadership experience in a unionized hospital environment.
