Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Nursing Simulation Manager to work in the School of Nursing, Faculty of Health for this exciting opportunity. Do you possess at least 3 years’ experience employed in a healthcare simulation environment?  Do you possess knowledge of Health Assessment and clinical skill development software? In this role, you will provide nursing students with a safe, supportive environment for learning and most importantly, the opportunity to positively impact knowledge translation. The Simulation Manager is responsible for the operations of the Nursing Simulation Centre (NSC). This includes providing leadership and direction for daily functions in the NSC and managing the performance of all staff, volunteers, and co-op students in accordance with relevant collective agreements.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:

An Undergraduate degree and progressively working towards a Certification in Simulation (ie/CHSE, CHSEO, CHSEA, Keystones, etc). Completion of a Certification in Simulation preferred. We are seeking candidates who possess at least 3 years' experience in the use of simulation in healthcare education, research, or administration as well as a demonstrated familiarity with current College of Nurses Entry to Practice Guidelines. The successful incumbent will have demonstrated skills including budget and financial management experience as well as leadership or management, preferably in a unionized environment, excellent communication, team building, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills. The successful incumbent will also possess experience in the preparation of reports and knowledge of inventory management systems.
